Social Services

During our eight years of operation, we have found more and more evidence to suggest that trauma is a significant contributing factor for mental health issues in youth. We believe that what many teachers, educators, and parents view as behavioral problems are actually students responding in a manner because of experiencing trauma.

Every student, who is assigned a supervised clinical social work intern, is given a biopsychosocial evaluation and has an individualized treatment plan created. These plans implement the evidence-based practices of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, Seeking Safety, crisis intervention, and more. These practices have decades of supportive data showing the effectiveness of improving the lives of individuals and strengthening families.
