College Assistance Program

The College Assistance Program provides comprehensive support for high school and transfer students transitioning to college. It offers College Application Prep, Personal Statement Help, Financial Aid Guidance, Scholarship Assistance, SAT/ACT Prep, Campus Tours, and encourages Community Service. This multifaceted program empowers students to achieve their academic dreams while fostering personal growth and community engagement.

What If?

This program consists of 26 different presentations that are designed to stimulate conversations about real life situations and get the students to think what if? By exploring various topics and life skills, students are able to grow as individuals and community members. Themes include natural feelings, healthy habits, internet usage, waste reduction and more.

High School & Beyond

This workshop enables students to recognize that they hold the power to their future! We will provide them with tools for achieving their objectives by setting S.M.A.R.T. goals, developing a growth mindset, finding positive role models and understanding the importance of asking for help.

Distinguished Speakers Series

Join us for conversations with professionals including judges, government officials, social workers, and more! The discussion will focus on career, work, and educational experiences followed by Q&A. The program is aimed to empower personal and professional growth in students from our community!

Monthly Message

PESA is dedicated to bringing forth creative and collaborative presentations on important issues each month. Whether it be discussing the history of the civil rights movement in our February’s “Black History Month  Presentation,” or talking about the 19th Amendment in March’s “Women’s History Month Presentation”, we hope to educate and mentor our community through these complex issues to ensure that we all advocate for a better future every month.

County of Heroes

An interactive presentation that helps educate students on the diverse identities and experiences of their peers. The stories inspire discussions on the value of accepting others who are different than us.

Civic Engagement Program

Students progress through 7 modules of curriculum that give an immersive and interactive learning experience regarding the governmental institutions that govern us and how to get involved and make a difference. Guest speakers, real world examples, and a capstone project are utilized to understand the history of our government, its function, and how everyone is an advocate.

Beyond the Scene

Beyond the Scene offers students the opportunity to learn about careers in forensic science from forensic science technicians and crime scene analysts currently working in the field. In addition to educating students on the qualifications they'll need, they also learn about the diverse responsibilities in a typical work day and the hardships that may come with either of these positions.
